Rural Life
Ryan and I went up to the land today and Ryan mowed the grass with his big ol' beast of a tractor. I pulled down the straps of my shirt and got a tan.

Homecoming
I WILL BE HOME IN LESS THAN A MONTH!
Yes, I am yelling. I'm sooo happy to be visiting soon. I'm dying for my mommy and dying almost as much for my daddy and seesters.
Six more days of kids and nine more days of work. *sigh*

Public Service Announcement
This is really Ryan's rant, but he's gotten me thinking about it so much... here you go.
All my ladies know that you are NEVER EVER to get the injected bisphosphonates (sp) (for bone density) and that you should only take boniva or fosomax for a few years, right? Well now you do. The problem comes in when the bone building (good) properties are outweighed by the inability to repair (bad) problems.
This really comes in to play for the jaw (hence Ryan's interest) and since the blood supply isn't very good. When you've been taking the pills for a long time or as soon as your first injection, you can have complications with your dental work. (Scare tactic time...) You can actually have your jaw bones die and your face fall off!!! Well, probably not that severe, but it could happen.
See, I DO need a blog!

Friends
Have had a nice couple weeks visiting with long distance and local friends. Makes me almost feel like an actual social person.

Long Weekend
Ryan and I had a lovely time Friday and Saturday celebrating Ken and Heather's *10th* anniversary. Can you believe it's been that long?? They came down on Friday evening and we had some dinner at our fav fancy restaurant. Yesterday they invited us to tag along with them and another couple on a wine tour. The other couple lives nearby and knew a ton about central VA. We hit a handful of wineries after breakfast, had dinner at a brewery and came home to a crateful of dog vomit. All in all, a great day. Today has been nice and lazy and we're planning on celebrating Memorial Day with a picnic or something equally as cute and outdoorsy.

*sigh*
It turns out I really AM boring. Hmmm... I had suspected as much.
Well, we closed on the land and have been up there a couple times. Our mountain view has been eclipsed by the leaves and will remain that way until fall and/or when we clear out some trees.
I have had a horrible stomach bug for the past several days and am finally feeling better.
My semester's over for grad school, thank god... What a tedious few months. Ugh.
