Busy Little Bees

Hi family,
Been busy and depressed lately. Only one of those is a real surprise. Finally got everything wrapped up (or almost) after the open house on Thursday and the conference on Friday. 250 people at the open house, a fabulous event that made us all feel really loved by the dental community. The conference that was tossed in my lap turned out pretty well too. Smaller turnout than I would have hoped, but that's what happens when no one has clearly outlined responsibilities and then I try to pick up the pieces of their mess once it's too late to do anything gracefully. Anyhow, the combo of those two things really took it out of me. Add on top of that my 'new' duties at the office- ordering and organizing all of Ryan's implants for his surgeries- and I've been a frazzled mess. Last night he dragged me back to the office after 10:30 having a temper tantrum that he didn't have implants for today's surgery. And I must not have ordered them. Oh I thought I ordered them, but ordering online and getting a printed receipt is NEVER the most reliable method... pfft. His assistants put the implants someplace ridiculous that he couldn't find them. And did I get an apology? Of course not. I just got the task of yelling at the assistants. LOL So this is yet another task that I'm learning as I pick up the pieces of stuff that's been FUBARed. *sigh* I love you all and hope to be home soon to complain in person.

Open House Gifts

Will follow up with a few good pics of the open house. These were quickies taken on my phone.

Rural Life

Ryan and I went up to the land today and Ryan mowed the grass with his big ol' beast of a tractor. I pulled down the straps of my shirt and got a tan.

Homecoming

I WILL BE HOME IN LESS THAN A MONTH!
Yes, I am yelling. I'm sooo happy to be visiting soon. I'm dying for my mommy and dying almost as much for my daddy and seesters.
Six more days of kids and nine more days of work. *sigh*

Public Service Announcement

This is really Ryan's rant, but he's gotten me thinking about it so much... here you go.
All my ladies know that you are NEVER EVER to get the injected bisphosphonates (sp) (for bone density) and that you should only take boniva or fosomax for a few years, right? Well now you do. The problem comes in when the bone building (good) properties are outweighed by the inability to repair (bad) problems.
This really comes in to play for the jaw (hence Ryan's interest) and since the blood supply isn't very good. When you've been taking the pills for a long time or as soon as your first injection, you can have complications with your dental work. (Scare tactic time...) You can actually have your jaw bones die and your face fall off!!! Well, probably not that severe, but it could happen.
See, I DO need a blog!

Friends

Have had a nice couple weeks visiting with long distance and local friends. Makes me almost feel like an actual social person.
